I Got Mail ~ Swap-bot

Sending and being sent items in the mails is just awesome and a fun way to create and send your items. With many crafted creative swap selections to choose from. You can join in the swapping fun. I have the pleasure to share with you My first swap. I had joined my first group, just recently and if you like to read more... here is the other featured article on Swap-bot. Plus, having the pleasure of creating my own swap robot ladies to also share in my adventure of these article, I will be enjoying to write. I wanted something to identify my swapping lady friends. So, i hope you will also enjoy my clip art creations.

Here we go, I Got Mail. 

 Like always, with everything you join you got to read the directions. I got this letter in the mail and it looked like a birthday card. Well, I know it's a little early for my birthday. Opened the card, it's my swap partner. Oop's I didn't know how to play. After going back into the swap-bot site. Ohhh there it is. In the upper right corner click here to find your partner name. I got it now. and out went my card. So let's review the items that got sent and received.

Then, recently did a Seven Day simplycaptivatingphotochallenge~ color  In which I used the Butterflies and coloring page's to post to the challenge. Here's the card from those butterflies that i made for the challenge and how I colored and displayed them.

I first had to do some coloring of each butterfly....... with gel pens, and hopefully you can see the high sheen from the metallic gel pen set i used. I also have a few glitter gel pens that always come in useful, to give some luster to there wings.

Now, I also choose to outline the photos after using the gel pens . Included is a photo outlined first. But, after coloring one before and after the gel pen was applied. I opt to outline after coloring in my butterfly coloring page photos.

As you can see, I printed out my coloring pages, six for each panel I created, and two for the  larger photo. about 1/4 inch larger and layer two back to back. Curling the back layer away from me and curling the top photo towards me. to give more to the impression of flutter wings. Then glued the two layers together and then applied the Butterfly over the ribbon. then one of the panel butterflies, I also double layered the butterfly. With only curling the top layer on the six panel to give depth.

Many swaps to choose from and a create your own swap program is also included in the dashboard. Of course, you have to earn your credibility first by ratings. Knowing this i will take some time to join in the groups forums and join in the fun for a while, before creating my own. Also, some of the swaps also ask for a rating of 4.98 to even join in the swap meet. But, it will be well worth the journey. Because building a swap group with others is building your business as well as motivation.

Then the patients begins. You will have to wait til the coordinator assigns your swap partner. The dates can vary by joining group swaps details. But, I have a 10 day wait for my swap partner to gift. Then we will be partnered up by a to b, b to c, c to d and d to a. if you get the gist of this particular partnering will work for me. I can't wait and am very excited to see this play out. Plus, joining some more after i make my first commitment. I really like to do one task at a time to completion. This will aide me in knowing all the details. I did read some forum reviews that out of country does get involved but, be cautious do to there mailing criteria and postal services are not all A+ ventures.

Mother's Day Card Printable ~ Free

Mother Day is coming up. I hope that everyone is not leaving this to the last minute. I know in the past I have had  my late deliveries of flowers or even wishes. So, I am making my post ready to go for all the Mothers that I love to share my wishes to. So I kinda going to send mine over the Internet. And I hope that they will be printed on the recipients end. So, this post is for all the mothers that have shared special moments with me. Treated me as their own since my mother has pasted. I was always a Momma's girl, and I have over the years have adopted many friends Mothers as my own. So, My  Love and wishes is to send my wishes to all the Mothers Around the world. A Happy Mothers day. My mother was very special Lady and wonderful to me, as I am sure many others Moms are special to their children. Types of Cards

If you are like myself and tried to Google types of cards the search is not as specific  as I would of liked it to be. Trying different combination of key words and still the results was not answering my question. So I went on a quest to find the information for myself. So I wanted to share with you my results. I will discussing the type of cards, plus structuring card. Tutorials will be linked as we build them with supplies and measurements and many details that will help you make your own. Our ultimate goal is to bring some insight to the question "types of Cards".  My search brought me a generous amount of information on techniques and embellishments that  will be including in our tutorials.  But, not our main focus. Many techniques might not be featured in our tutorials , so feel free to explore, create and grow with you craft of making cards.

This will be a structured outline to bring things into perspective to how the cards have evolved into what we see today.

Now, first a little knowledge on the greeting card. This art has been around for a very long time. The History behind these extraordinary craft started as far back to the Chinese exchanging message for a New Year Celebrating to writing on scrolls from the Egyptians and of course a handmade Valentine that is found in a museum. The most popular adapted all around the world is Christmas cards that are dated back to the 1800's. Now we are not here for a history lesson. But, I do want to bring value to the world of card-making and the modern day extraordinary people that have evolved the card making designs that we will show is our outline and illustrations.

This could be a little lengthy to some and informative to others which in either case. I hope you can get some valuable information to start crafting many types of cards for yourself. Best of all create your own.

Now, all types of Cards have these four Basic idea's
Front to bring attention to the card and it's Theme
Back if you commercially sell it would have a trademark, made by, or creator signature etc...
Message some message are part of the Front theme, Giving symmetry to the inside of the message. Some cards are made blank inside for the giver to write personal sentiments. But, all cards given have sentiments or quotes for this is the reason of greeting cards.
Opening can be from bottom to top,right to left, left to right, or top to bottom, there is always an opening. There is some interest to cards that have two openings. For example the card on card design or the Secret Panel Card has two openings. Designers across the globe are always trying to push the envelope to create new and unique cards that do more, move more or just are unique in design.

But, Creativity has evolved the card industry to moveable, digital, a creative embellishment. Go ahead and take a peek of the incredible meritorious named designs that woman have been working on for centuries.
